Jeff Rickerman was raised on a farm in Southeastern Pennsylvania where he was brought up a Quaker, learned the value of hard work and gained a passion for life. Jeff started his first business at age seven and had two others by the time he started working in the corporate world, which he did for 36 years. Serving in various management positions including area division manager and vice president responsible for up to 1,200 employees. Jeff has been involved in real estate since age 14, assisting in building timber frame houses and repairing and rebuilding houses including a number of old farmhouses.
In 2013, Jeff started a real estate business in Northeast Ohio acquiring over 70 properties in the last five and a half years. Along with rentals Jeff also does wholesaling, rehabs, lease options, land contracts and contracting for other landlords. Jeff strongly believes in helping others by mentoring, sharing his skills and lending a hand in volunteer activities. He feels that you learn as much from helping others as they can learn from being helped. From an early age Jeff has felt that you can do good while you are doing well and he encourages his tenants to enter into lease options so they can fulfill their dream of home ownership. Jeff has a life long passion for learning and teaching, acquiring new skill sets, and staying on top of market trends. He attends many real estate conferences both local and national as part of his continuing education.
Jeff feels that we all have something to teach and we all have something to learn and by engaging others in conversation, listening more than you speak, and being open to new things and new ideas, it is a win-win for everyone involved.

Jaclyn Rickerman
Jaclyn Rickerman got her first taste of real estate at an early age helping her grandfather with his rental properties. Jaclyn graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor degree in Political Science. She worked in the mortgage field as a loan processor/mortgage and equity counselor for over ten years. She also worked at the House of Representatives as a Financial Counselor on Capitol Hill for over nine years. Jaclyn has been a private money lender, she has bought and sold properties and has had rental units. Jaclyn has over six years experience assisting in managing rentals including vacation rentals.
Currently she works hand and hand with Jeff to manage their real estate business, which buys, sells and rents houses. Jeff and Jaclyn buy and sell property through land contracts and they sell houses through lease options (rent to own). Jaclyn has been on the OREIA Board since 2017 being diligent about attending as many OREIA, MVREIA, ACREIA and SCREIA events as possible to assist in her real estate education. Jaclyn servers on the OREIA, OPHP and Education Committee. She is the OPHP Liaison for MVREIA and serves as the co-chair of the Landlord Super Group since 2016. Jaclyn has served as a Director for MVREIA since 2017, becoming Vice President in October of 2018.
Originally from the Erie, Pa area, Rich came to the Youngstown area to manage a Hills Department Store. Later, he became a banker for 25 years with a local bank; focusing on residential and commercial lending. In 1990, he purchased his first investment property which was a 54 unit apartment complex in Columbiana, OH. In the last 27 years, he has owned and managed up to 85 residential and commercial rental units. Currently, Rich is a commercial real estate agent with Northwood Realty Services. He has an MBA in Finance and a BA in Business Administration. He has been a life long resident of the Boardman, OH area. He belongs to several local and business organizations including Board Member of Mahoning County Land Reutilization Corp.( Mahoning County Land Bank) and the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Rich Chase
Nicole has had a lifelong interest and involvement in Real Estate in one capacity or another. Growing up, she helped her parents restore and sell historic homes in Trumbull County. The enjoyment of that process led her to choose Interior Design as a college major. Nicole bought her first investment property at the age of 19 when she decided to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2003. She lived in the home and rented out the extra rooms to help pay for the property as she focused on college. In 2007 Nicole graduated from CCAD with a BFA in Interior Design. In 2009 she moved back to Trumbull County to help run her family business, and kept the house in Columbus as a rental property.
As the family business began to stabilize she started searching for career options that were more in line with her degree and interests, eventually discovering the profession of Public Adjusting. Becoming self-employed as a Consumer Advocate and helping owners repair damages to their property by properly navigating their insurance claims sparked an entrepreneurial spirit in Nicole. She began to educate herself in a variety of fields, including Real Estate Investing, Marketing, and Business Startups. She began helping her parents manage their small portfolio of rental properties and also joined the Mahoning Valley REIA after attending several REI bootcamps in 2014. She has been an active member of the MVREIA ever since and also recently joined the Mahoning Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce.
With an overall goal of helping to improve the Mahoning Valley and empower its residents through real estate investing and self-employment education, Nicole is honored and excited to accept a position on the board of the Mahoning Valley REIA, and looks forward to helping the organization grow and reach as many people as possible.

Sherry DeMar
Sherry A. DeMar has been in the Real Estate and Property Management business for over 40 years earning her Ohio sales license in 1976, her Ohio Brokers license in 1986 and her Florida Brokers license in 2001. Sherry is also an avid investor herself as well as providing third party Asset & Property Management Services to others. She has provided Service Coordination to residents for 20 years and is accredited in such, her accreditations also include ABR, ARM, CPM Candidate, CNE, Housing Credit Certified Professional, Senior Housing Specialist, Property Management Specialist and site Compliance Specialist. She is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the American Association of Service Coordinators and is a current director of the Mahoning Valley Real Estate Investors Association. Sherry also served as a Director for the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors in 1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011. She has chaired or served on many committees for YCAR. Sherry currently serves on the Professional Standards Committee and the Zoning Committee for the city of Youngstown. She resides in Boardman with her dog "Max".

Joe Mayor
Joe Mayor and Nancy, his wife have belonged to MVREIA for the more than ten years always being a positive force at our meeting, as well as lending a helping hand. Joining MVREIA in 2009 to learn what it was all about and staying for the education and friendships formed. After finishing college Joe Mayor worked for local steel mills for over twenty-five years as a manager. While working full time at the steel mill Joe started his career in real estate as a way of being able to control his own time. Joe bought his first rental property in 1978. Now he has over forty years experience in real estate. Becoming an expert in rentals and rehab.
